Misson

The Equity/Diversity/Inclusion Committee is dedicated to fostering an environment of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the California Community College Athletic Trainers’ Association (3CATA) community. We strive to promote understanding, respect, and equal opportunities for all members, regardless of background or identity. Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, we aim to create a culture where everyone feels valued, empowered, and supported in their pursuit of excellence.

Values

  1. We aim to cultivate a culture where every member feels valued, respected, and empowered by ensuring leadership is reflective of the association demographics and the 3CATA Constitution and Bylaws are appropriate for inclusivity and acceptance. 
  2. To provide educational training sessions focused on diversity and inclusion to enhance understanding and promote equitable practices.  
  3. Through mentorship for new Athletic Trainers (ATs), we hope to provide guidance and assistance in various aspects of the athletic training profession.
