2022 Athletic Trainer of the Year: Flecicia Heise

The California Community College Athletic Trainers Association is pleased to recognize Flecicia Heise from Palomar College as the 2022 Athletic Trainer of the year.

Flecicia Heise has always looked out for the best interest of the student-athlete, whether it’s for the next practice, competition, or into the future, Flecicia has been an advocate for them by putting them first. She enters her 29th year at Palomar College.

Flecicia is always looking for new and innovative protocols to help her student-athletes return to the playing surface as efficiently as possible. More recently, she jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the CCCATA COVID-19 work group because she wanted to help not just Palomar’s student-athletes, but every school’s student-athletes, to return to practices and competitions as safely and quickly as possible. Flecicia will be honored at the CCCAA “Honoring our Own” luncheon on Thursday April 7th at the DoubleTree Ontario, 222 N Vineyard Ave. @ 12:00 pm.
